PEX pipes and fittings of these manufacturers are valued for their excellent quality and high consumer not only in U.S but throughout the world. Therefore, production of pipes of these companies has virtually no equal in terms of volume and export worldwide.
If we consider the U.S manufacturers of pipes, there are several companies that hold leading positions in the industry. The first is a group of “Polyplastic”, which produces pipes, not only for the U.S consumer, but also for export to other countries. The volume of production of the pipe manufacturer is 150 thousand tons of products per year. It features also a major producer of pipes – a company Kazanorgsintez, whose annual turnover is nearly 15 thousand tons per year. It is also worth noting the following companies: “Borod-Plast” and “Sibgazapparat” (5% of the total production of pipes in the country), LLC NEWYORK Pipe Plant, Highway Plast “,” Aquatex-Plast ” “Polimertara, as well as other major manufacturers of pipes.
U.S pipe producer retain at least a high quality of its products than foreign companies. Therefore, production of pipes in U.S can be considered sufficiently developed and progressive branch of industry. Sale of U.S producers of pipes uncommon, due to high demand for domestic products. Thus, the production of pipes of domestic and foreign companies are able to fully meet the U.S market pipeline equipment quality products.
Fittings for PEX tubing as pipe fittings, installed in the ground turns, transitions and branching, connecting links of tubing-in-one and providing a reliable and durable connection.
We are working with one of the world’s oldest manufacturers of plastic fittings for gas and water – by BOW Ltd, formed in 1963. Fittings for PEX tubing with an automatic identification system OxyPEX® and bar code have improved design and meet the most stringent requirements of modern international standards of quality and safety. All fittings for PEX tubing company BOW Ltd. produced from PEX 1/2″, designed for welding of PEX 1″, PEX 1/2″ and PEX 3/8″, and an operating pressure of 10 bar for gas and 16 bar for water. The company also offers PEX tubing fittings, fittings, without embedded heaters, permanent connection of steel-PEX tools and equipment for welding of PEX tubing, the signal band.
Depending on the working environment and its parameters are divided into steam valves (for water and steam), energy, oil, sewage, ventilation, cryogenics, vacuum, tank.
By material distinguish body parts of fittings:
1. steel (carbon or stainless steel);
2. stainless steel;
3. titanium;
4. cast iron (cast iron);
5. ductile iron;
6. ferrous metals;
7. plastic;
8. ceramics (porcelain);
9. glass.
Clamping pipe of PEX is a common practice in gas supply, but the application of this technique is only recommended for pipe diameters up to 160 mm, with wall thickness up to 10 mm. To avoid damage to the pipeline degree clamping should not exceed 0.8. Uncontrolled clamping the pipe to complete overlap of the flow is unacceptable. Sometimes it also requires additional measures, such as stepwise multiple clamping the pipe with an intermediate degassing.
In plumbing supply, installation of equipment for clamping can be made only after reducing the pressure. Residual water is removed from the zone of welding by repair outlet PEX (tubing, pipe, fittings). The distance between the sites of compression should not be less than five times the diameter of the PEX tube.
When you install a shut-off ball pressure in the pipeline, depending on the type of shut-off ball and recommendations of the manufacturer, must not exceed 1 atm. When you install a double lock is recommended to eliminate the intermediate air. In the gas supply shut-off used balls from special materials, which at low pressure can be set “bare hands”. In the water supply used elastic rubber balls, which cover almost the entire size range and the installation which requires no additional accessories.
The problem of “residual water” when connecting to the house. Repair sleeve (Fig. 3) decreases in the assembled condition the possibility that the “residual water” in the zone of welding due assembled into a sealing circuit. Integrity is preserved under the pressure reached about 1 bar. A prerequisite for the application of repair bushings is their convenience for use in any part of the PVC pipe fittings due to the great flexibility. Nevertheless, their use is limited to diameters of 32 to 63mm in SDK 11.
The problem of “residual water” at Ø> 63 mm. Technology use is limited to repair sleeves 63 mm due to the inflexibility of large diameter pipelines and related complications installation. Another way to prevent residual water in the zone of welding is common in the area of gas technology installed locking ball, which is due to the high flexibility allows to overlap the different diameter PEX pipe. To install a shut-off ball, you must first drill a hole in the pipe. The drill is inserted through the nipple pad (Fig. 4). This pipe-lining can be welded to the tube and after the repair is brewed using plugs. An alternative may make PVC fittings, which is dismantled after the frame, and cut a hole sealed amplifying gag-strip. This way you can avoid standing water which can gather under the dome of the pipe-lining. Locking ball significantly reduces the likelihood of “residual water in the zone of welding. It should be noted that before closing the ball should not be pressure, ie, water storage should be derived through the drilled hole. After completion of the frame or repairs with the help of plug-in of fitting parts or movable clutch locking ball is pulled from the pipe, and the hole sealed by one of the above methods (Fig. 5). After the expiry of the cooling of parts and washing water, he is again ready for operation.
Alternative locking ball – film cap. New discoveries in the field of film technology offers an interesting alternative to installing a shut-off ball – water soluble film. They reduce the possibility of water in the area of welding at a certain time, and then dissolve in it. The membrane consists of a non-toxic polyvinyl (PVAL) and polyethylene insert that is authorized for use in potable water. To mount the film membrane (Fig. 6) is introduced into the open end of the pipeline. Compaction occurs due to the integrated sealing jaws. After the restoration of the pipeline remains film membranes are washed out during the flushing water.
