PEX Tubing fittings
There are six main categories when it comes to PEX tubing installation. First on the list are crimp fittings. This type of PEX tubing installation is used to combine pipes together. Generally made out of cooper, such PEX tubing installs are quite resistant and do not damage the actual pipe if properly installed. The next category of PEX tubing fittings from Wirsbo. These fittings allow one to mount the pipe in any place such as in corners where the pipe cannot b banded properly. Also, the Wirsbo fixture for PEX installs can have two or three ends. These way three pipes can be jointed in the same place. Such fittings can be found in companies like Wirsbo PEX tubing systems or any other company that produces PEX fittings.
Wirsbo PEX tubing system also provides Everhot fittings designed exclusively for corner fixture, where the pipe cannot bend in a sharp 90 degree angle. Even though the Everhot can also be used, the Everhot is not only better but also cheaper than the Wirsbo fittings.
Other similar fittings include the elbow fixtures. These are meant for corner joint pipes and unlike the other categories these can be a bit more expensive.
A very efficient fixture is the PEX compression fitting. This part of the installation is made for pipes that need to stand in high pressures from water or gas.
Generally, these are all the fittings that are needed to install any type of PEX piping systems.
For small installs, such as the ones under the sick, only the crimps are required. When used for talking water from a tank to flow through the sink or tub, a larger number of fittings is required, mainly to fit better the pipes and prevent leakage, to seal up better the joints but also to manage the pipes shape better in fitting the corners of the room.
