PEX Elbows
PEX is a material called as cross linked polyethylene is a form of polyethylene used for cross links and making plumbing tubes and pipes. One of its products, among a variety of products is PEX elbows which are available in different sizes of ¾’, ½”, 1”, 3/8” and 5/8”. The copper stub out elbow for ½” PEX tubing is made up of high quality copper to protect it from being corroded.
Its size is 6”x 3.5” and is manufactured to ASTM F1807 standards. It has a ½” inlet and has spin closed ½’ copper pipe size. This PEX elbow is used for transition between PEX tubing and copper pipes to stub out the floors and walls. This is highly compatible and easy to install which makes it useful for different plumbing applications. The spin closed outlet present in it allows for testing the pressure before installation of stop valves and it also prevents dirt and debris from getting inside the pipe during construction and installation work.
The PEX elbow is used to give a 90 degree sharp edge to the pipes and tubes, as and where required and for attaching two or more units with each other. The high quality of material used helps in maintaining its durability for a longer time and provides long term benefits.
