There are different types of fittings and plumbing parts available which are used in connecting PEX to PEX tubes and pipes. The PEX couplings are used to prolong a run, turn up tight corners and split off into different branches. There are various kinds of couplings available for making different types of connections.

One such PEX coupling is a straight connector which is open from both the ends and is attached with both the ends with either a cinch crimp or a regular crimp. These PEX couplings are also used to change the size of the PEX which is being used. It is of ½” on one end and of ¾” on other end and can also act as a reducer to attach water lines to outside faucets. The other kind is called a STOP which is closed from one end and open from other end. These pieces are used in areas where two connections or more than two connections are required. These are helpful in placing the water lines correctly and are durable and compatible.
